Anneleen Dedroog
Vita
Belgium-born Anneleen Dedroog was educated at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp before joining the young company Dantzaz Konpainia in San Sebastián. In 2011, she became a member of Gauthier Dance and has since distinguished herself in many major parts. She demonstrated her great acting talent in roles like the Evil Queen in Mauro Bigonzetti's Alice, in Itzik Galili's humorous duet Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White, in the solo from Marco Goecke’s Do You Love Gershwin? or as a mysterious avian creature in Andonis Foniadakis’ short film AELLΩ. According to Anneleen, it was above all the variety of the Gauthier Dance repertoire that helped her grow as a dancer. Recently she was given a very special honour: In the concept evening ELEMENTS from 2024, she danced the world premiere of Louise Lecavalier's solo ETHER – the first choreography ever the Canadian star dancer had not created for herself.
